Daniel’s love for sound has always extended beyond music. Studying film at Queen’s University in the early 90s, and then electroacoustic communications at Simon Fraser University in the mid to late 90s, alongside DJing and producing electronic music, ultimately led him towards audio engineering and music production school.
By the late 90s Daniel found his way into the music industry producing for Nütone/Nettwerk Records in Vancouver. Soon after, Daniel signed his first recording deal with Nettwerk as a recording artist. In 2005 he signed his second record deal with Last Gang Records in Toronto, and has actively continued working as a recording artist since.
During the late summer of 2007, Daniel co-founded Vancouver’s own, Fader Master Sound Studios, which has recently merged into what is now known as Fader Mountain Sound. Since that time, Daniel has been working as an artist, sound designer, D.S.P. fanatic, gear creator, sound engineer and music producer as the studio continues to grow. Being able to be creative with sound, people and machines that make noise has been a life long love for Daniel.
