Nimbus grads awarded Musicounts Scholarships

Nimbus grads awarded Musicounts Scholarships

Nimbus graduates Kassia Edwards and Jack Thomas, have been awarded two out of four Musicounts Scholarships in a brand new annual post-secondary award program. 

The scholarship will help to launch the careers of the four recipients, with finances, mentoring and networking sessions. 

Thank you to MusiCounts for highlighting and championing career in the music and entertainment industry, an initiative developed as part of the “educate-develop-celebrate-honour” spectrum under the CARAS umbrella. 

Congratulations, Kassia and Jack, for your amazing awards!

John Sawa: Leo, Golden Reel and AMPIA Awards

John Sawa has been nominated for Best Sound in 2009 for a LEO Award, 2013 for a Rosie Award, 2015 for a Golden Reel, and won a LEO in 2018 for Best Sound in a Short Drama.

Nimbus alumnus Pomo Wins Electronic Album Of The Year JUNO Award.  David Pimental graduated from the early Sound Recording Program in 2009.

Mike McLaughlin assists on Hedley's JUNO Award winner

Mike McLaughlin was assistant engineer on the 2012 JUNO Award winning Hedley album "Storms" in the category Pop Album of the Year. This record was nominated again in 2013 for Best Album. Mike graduated in 2009 from the Sound Recording Program.
