x Nimbus pathway program
We are thrilled to partner with CapU to provide additional opportunities for graduates of Nimbus' Music Production Recording and Business program.
Students who successfully graduate from our 12-month Diploma program are eligible to complete a Diploma in Arts & Entertainment Management with CapU within twelve months. International students who graduate from Nimbus and gain successful admission into CapU are eligible to apply for a Post Graduate Work Permit.
Through the CapU Arts and Entertainment Management program, students will gain the skills to work in B.C.’s entertainment industry. Whether you pursue a career in music, film, TV, theatre, artist management or a related field, this program gives you business skills to thrive in your area of interest. This is normally a two year program, however, our graduates will bypass year one and move straight into year two.
The pathway program is one of the first-of-its-kind partnerships between a BC public university and a private college. This wonderful opportunity was created to:
- enhance student mobility and access to other entertainment-related industries, including design and theatre.
- expand job opportunities by widening access to sectors where labor shortages exist
- assist international students in achieving eligibility for post-graduate work permits. For more information on study permits in Canada, visit the Government of Canada website
- offer a complimentary of production and academic education experiences in an accelerated format, providing cost/time savings for students wishing to pursue advanced education to enter the workforce
- foster opportunities for faculty to collaborate and share resources
STEP 1
- NIMBUS Course Award: Music Production Recording & Business DIPLOMA
- Start Dates: January, May, September
- Duration: 1 year / 48 weeks / 1,134 hours
STEP 2
- CapU Award: Diploma in Arts & Entertainment Management
- Start Date: Sept
- Duration: 1 year
Pathway Program Application Process
CapU’s Arts & Entertainment Diploma program begins every September and is limited to 26 students. Successful admission to Nimbus does not guarantee access to the CapU program. Applicants must meet all CapU admission requirements, which you can find HERE.
Applications open every October for the following September. For admission fees, details and to submit your application, visit the AEM page on the CapU website. The application fee is $50 for domestic students and $135 for international students.
